The founder of HG, Dianna Cameron, would bake at her Grandmother’s house any chance she got. She loved baking so much at home that she
wanted to pursue it in the workplace. Dianna has been in the food and beverage industry since her early teenage years. She worked at her parent’s small Deli, in various hotels, restaurants and golf resorts. As Dianna’s children (all three of them) grew older she went back to school. Dianna received culinary and restaurant management degrees. She took the leap into entrepreneurship knowing that she could use her experience and education.
What kind of food and beverage business though?? Her love of baking made her want to open a bakery, however, would that be enough to
sustain the business? With many avenues to choose from she wondered, what was her passion? Dianna asked her children to help her decide on what type of food service business she should open. They all agreed to open a cafe and coffee shop. The ultimate decision to create and make everything in house (including roast the coffee on site) was born! Dianna didn’t just want typical cafe fare- the authenticity was going to make this business special!
